Super Yummy Animation

As I was going through the August 2012 copy of Computer Arts magazine on my Zinio app, I read an article about this animation company that got me really excited about visiting their website. Not only do they have a very nice and clean looking website, they also sell toy characters which appear in their animation! Plus, their animations are humorous with perfect details. Enjoy!

Indonesia: Day 8

Today, we’re treating ourselves to a session of body massage! Batam is known for her cheap, although not necessarily good, massage.

The Spa Secret is located at Komplex Nagoya Garden Phase I Blok D, No.1-2-3, Kampung Seraya. It’s right next to The Hills Hotel, which was previously Puri Garden Hotel.

I like that this location is constantly being cleaned. Ayu is my therapist and Vidri is my husband’s. We each had a 2-hour massage for about $17 each. What a deal! They were good too!

For dinner, we brought my husband to one of Batam’s only few restaurants that serves western food. Teras Cafe refers to themself as the steak and wine house.

Even though he didn’t quite like his New Zealand ribeye, he said that he always preferred US ribeye (which they also serve), and that he should’ve ordered the latter.

That’s all for today!

Indonesia: Day 7

Today, we manage to shop and walk around a little. Harbour Bay Mall, located in Batu Ampar, is a fairly new mall. Construction for a 4-star Grand Swiss-Bel Hotel and Megablitz, a movie theatre, is currently underway.

Our first stop is Karisma, a national bookstore chain.

I found some traditional Indonesian Batik paper bags and wrapping paper.

I bought some large paper clips and lots of picture books in Bahasa Indonesia.

Our next stop is Coconut Island, my absolutely favorite tee shirt store. Their shirts are well-designed, affordable and made from good quality cotton.

J.Co Doughnut is the equivalent of Krispy Kreme in Indonesia. Their donuts has flavors like tiramisu and banana & chocolate. Tasty!

We are going for a massage tomorrow, which is what our island is known for. Keep on reading!

Indonesia: Day 2

It is yet another beautiful, sunny day in Batam. After coming home from work, my dad can’t resist taking Chloe for a swim even though she’s still asleep.

Chloe is wearing a beautiful pink dress from Ralph Lauren.
